Things to Do near Us

Every season in Buena Vista, CO is truly magical. Being located in a banana belt means we are typically warmer, drier, and have more sunshine, making it an ideal destination for your Colorado adventure vacation! Buena Vista is home to Browns Canyon National Monument and the Arkansas River, which is Colorado’s most rafted river. We have an average of 254 sunny days and 41 inches of snowfall in average yearly. The snow fall usually occurs in the higher mountain elevations. The very same high mountain peaks that surround our serene valley also provide a winter sport wonderland. We are encircled by twelve 14,000-foot mountains and ideally located between several Colorado ski resorts, which receive over 200 inches on natural snow fall a year.

So whether you are looking for hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, or just relaxing; whatever the season, we have something for everyone. Come, Adventure Awaits!
